Scholastic Book Fairs is a highly dedicated team that provides families and educators with products and services to help children become lifelong learners. We work in partnership with your school to offer special, fun-filled book events that will excite students about the joy of reading.
In addition to offering the newest books and educational materials, a Book Fair raises funds that provide essential classroom resources and support important school projects. The Fair is staffed entirely by school volunteers, usually under the direction of the librarian or PTA.

Throughout the year, our team of book experts review thousands of books from publishers all over the world. It’s with your students in mind that they select the books they believe will promote the joy of reading to children.
Our Book Selection Committee members have over 280 years of combined experience in the children’s book industry.
Summer Reading Program
Schools that hold two Fairs in the 2009-10 school year are eligible
to hold our Summer Reading Discount Fair. Scholastic Book Fairs
will donate 50%, in books, of each school’s net sales from their Summer Reading
event. These donations will be distributed across Canada to designated
children’s
hospitals as part of our partnership with the Children’s Miracle Network® as
well as to Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies.
