Building Excitement! (Contest Ideas)
 Generate plenty of fun and anticipation among students and staff with some themed contests*!

Decorative Doors – Challenge teachers to decorate their classroom doors using the Book Fair Beach theme. Ask students to vote for their favourites.
Gone Fishing Draw – Give ballot (reproducible provided) to each student visiting the Fair to fill out and deposit in large container decorated with fish motif. During morning announcements have principal fish through container and draw random winners.
Goldfish Guessing Game – Fill a fish bowl with Goldfish Crackers, or other fish-shaped treats, and display for everyone to see. Make contest sign and entry box for students to deposit their guesses.
Splashy Poster Contest – Deck your halls with splashy Book Fair Beach posters created by students. Just provide students with details of the Fair then watch the entries pour in. Ask teachers to judge the results.
Wet & Wild Competition – Challenge students can create their own sea creatures using a variety of craft and/or recyclable materials. Give out prizes for the “greenest” creations. Display all entries during your Family Event.
