A simple school project turns into an amazing adventure through time. History has never been this delicious!
When Anne decides to do a school project on her favourite thing, chocolate, a mysterious new librarian helps her find a "very interesting" CD-ROM about its history. Unaware that she is in for the trip of a lifetime, Anne settles down to her research and finds herself magically transported with every click of her mouse! Her time-travel journey begins in the rainforest where she harvests cacao beans. Then she's sailing to Spain with Columbus and a cargo of cacao; drinking cocoa in the court of Louis XIV; touring the Fry and Sons chocolate factory; and even getting caught in the middle - literally - of the famous Sacher torte feud in Austria.
Anne arrives back home from her amazing voyage just in time to dig into a delicious batch of her mom's chocolate chip cookies! She then writes up her project, an informative history of chocolate which becomes the last chapter of the book. Oddly, the marvellous CD and the mysterious librarian vanish, never to be seen again...!
