I waited until his pointy-toothed face appeared, peering over the edge. Then I swung myself up, nearly ripping my arm out of its socket, jackknifed so I could lock both legs around his scrawny neck, and half-pulled him over the edge. “Give up or we both go over,” I whispered, my face close to his ear. “Or do you fancy dying today?”
